Voting Procedures for Proposed Letter of Agreement
15
In order to protect the integrity of the vote and the secrecy of
the ballot, we use a double envelope system.
When you vote, you will be given two envelopes. The smaller envelope will contain your
ballot. That should be sealed and placed
into the larger envelope. The name of
the voters, along with their signatures are
placed on the larger envelope.
The larger envelopes will remain
un-opened until the vote count. They will be tallied to ensure that only
members in good standing have voted, and that no member has voted twice. Then
they will all be opened. The inner envelopes will be shuffled together,
before they are opened. This will ensure the secrecy of the
votes.
